Danial Zafaranchizadeh Moghaddam
Applied AI, Robotics & Software Engineer
London, United Kingdom
I am an applied AI, robotics, and software engineer with a practical background in building real systems: AI workflows, RAG pipelines, backend services, robotics experiments, simulation environments, web platforms, and mobile products. My MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at the University of Hertfordshire was awarded with Distinction, and my work now sits at the intersection of intelligent systems, robotics, and product-focused engineering.
My portfolio is split across AI and automation projects, robotics experiments, research-focused prototypes, and production web/app systems. I like work where ambiguity has to become a working system: a pipeline, a robot experiment, a dashboard, a retrieval layer, or a product that people can actually use.
Current Focus
Applied AI & Agentic Systems
I build systems that combine LLMs, retrieval, structured prompting, tool-calling patterns, and explainable workflows. Recent examples include TalkingHeadAI, a real-time conversational mentor platform with retrieval routing, long-term memory, bilingual interaction, and a mentor dashboard; and the NSP AI Enquiry Workflow, which converts unstructured customer enquiries into structured JSON for operational use.
I also work on agent-style systems for evaluation and automation, such as QoE-BugHunter (VizDoom), a multi-agent prototype for discovering, verifying, and reporting reproducible quality-of-experience issues in 3D environments.
Robotics, Simulation & Reinforcement Learning
My robotics work is hands-on and experiment-driven. I built the Ned3 Pro DRL Sim-to-Real Reaching pipeline using SAC+HER, MuJoCo, ROS, and real-hardware validation. I also developed a Ned3 Pro Adaptive Controller for current-mode actuation when a direct torque interface was not available.
To support repeatable robotics experimentation, I built a MuJoCo Docker Bridge for Ned3 Pro and university simulation projects such as Robotic Navigation in Unity and Agent Based Modelling.
AI/ML Engineering
I work with Python, PyTorch, FastAPI, vector databases, Docker, and structured evaluation workflows. One example is the CNN-based Persian Digit Recognizer, a PyTorch image-classification pipeline with training, evaluation, inference, and confusion-matrix reporting.
Web, Mobile & Commerce Systems
Before moving deeper into AI and robotics, I spent years building production web and app systems. My commerce work includes Anotah Multi-Region E-commerce Website, Anotah Mobile App, Eleganza Concept Website, Nil Home E-commerce Website, and Pasha Group Websites. These projects shaped how I think about performance, user flow, content operations, SEO, and maintainable product delivery.

Professional Experience
Co-Founder - Systems & Technical Lead | Karkia Pardazesh Firouzeh
October 2017 - December 2024
I led software delivery, backend integrations, automation workflows, and technical systems for business operations. This included building and maintaining commerce infrastructure, improving operational workflows, and later designing AI assistant patterns using FastAPI, Qdrant, and retrieval-based workflows. Related portfolio work includes Nil Home E-commerce Website and the broader commerce/platform experience documented across my projects.
Senior Systems Developer | Green Wing Co. W.L.L
January 2020 - April 2023
I worked on production commerce platforms, integrations, mobile app delivery, and operational continuity for high-traffic fashion retail systems. The work is represented by Anotah Multi-Region E-commerce Website, Anotah Mobile App, and Eleganza Concept Website.
WordPress Senior Developer | Pasha Group
March 2018 - August 2020
I developed real-estate and e-commerce websites, including Pasha Group Websites and Nil Home E-commerce Website. This work included WordPress development, brand implementation, SEO-oriented content structures, and 360-degree virtual-tour experiences for real-estate listings.
Education
MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics
University of Hertfordshire, UK | 2025 - 2026
- Result: Distinction, GPA 4.42/5.00.
- Focus: Artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, reinforcement learning, neural networks, and practical AI implementation.
- Related work: Ned3 Pro DRL Sim-to-Real Reaching, Ned3 Pro Adaptive Controller, Robotic Navigation in Unity, and Agent Based Modelling.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Azad University (IAU) | September 2010 - December 2014
My civil engineering background gave me a strong foundation in mathematics, systems thinking, structural logic, and project management. Those habits still shape how I approach robotics, simulation, and AI system design.
Workshops, Writing & Technical Communication
I enjoy explaining technical ideas clearly and helping people move from curiosity to working prototypes. I helped organize and support the From Prompt to Agent Workshop at UH, a hands-on AI workshop focused on LLM APIs, prompt engineering, retrieval workflows, and applied prototyping.
I also write occasional notes about AI products, infrastructure, and public-interest technology, including Inside HeyGen’s Infinitely Me Pop-Up in London and Run Psiphon Conduit for Internet Freedom.
